Nebulae of Nostalgia
Inspired by Charles and Ray Eames' iconic film Powers of Ten, this work explores the tension between the large and the intimate, the microscopic and the cosmic.
A forgotten chocolate peanut, discovered in my friend Jaap Scheeren's car, becomes the starting point. This humble, sugar-coated snack - steeped in childhood nostalgia for many - is transformed into an enigmatic celestial body, adrift in an endless void.
